Scholarship Grants
The World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) is offering financial support to encourage veterinarians from geographically remote countries* with limited access to continuing education in veterinary dermatology, to attend WCVD7. A particular emphasis will be placed on providing veterinarians with genuine financial need the opportunity to participate in the Congress.
The WAVD aims to promote the global development of veterinary dermatology and expects that selected applicants will use knowledge and skills acquired at the Congress to advance veterinary dermatology in their geographic region.
The scholarship consists of a free full registration to WCVD7 and a travel and accommodation cash allowance of 1000 dollars US. Delegates will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. The allowance will be awarded to delegates at WCVD7.
The following selection criteria need to be addressed in the scholarship application:
1. Proof of residency in a country with limited access to continuing education in veterinary dermatology**
2. Evidence of interest and commitment to veterinary dermatology
3. Proof of adequate skills in reading and writing English
4. A letter of recommendation in electronic form, which includes a statement of financial need
5. Proof of veterinary qualification
